| Hi. I have a question for you all. I am a foreign citizen living in the United Kingdom with my newly wed husband. He is a British citizen, and I should be entitled to open a bank account. The thing is that I have been declined from one bank. Does that mean that there is no point in trying again? Or?? Please give me your thoughts. |

| While there is some truth in what you are saying, it doesn't have to be like that. There is certainly no reason not to try again. I have heard that Natwest is a bit more flexible in helping people such as yourself. You could perhaps try with them? The reason for this happening is that you have no credit history in this country so the banks don't know what you are like. |
