| Please, someone help me out on this-which state gets my tax the thing is that I am here in Springfield, Illinois and am working translation job freelance out of my house –for that is what I do actually but the thing is that I started working recently for some translation agency situated in NY state so I am curious which state gets my tax actually? |

| I am in kind of the same situation in sense that I am located in one state and am working for another and I know for sure it doesn’t matter for which state you work for actually or you are sending them your work no mater which way-internet, mail whatever – anyway whenever it comes to taxes there are always payable in the state you live in so in your case Illinois is the state that gets your tax. |
