| Hi. I am very seriously considering to rent out my second property and am looking into all the paperwork and everything that I would need to sort out in order to be able to do so. So I have a quick question for you guys. Who pays the house insurance for rented properties? |

| I am not going to be able to give you the answer I am sure you are hoping to hear; I am afraid that you, as the landlord, will have to pay the house insurance. What's more, due to the increased risk on properties that are rented your premium will be higher. Hey, it's a necessary evil. |
