Why can't I get a student loan?

| Hello. I am going to go to university. I am married and although I don't work my husband is much older than me and has a good job. But the bank has refused me for a student loan! Why on earth? And what should I do now? I was counting on the loan and not getting it would be a big problem. Should I give up hope? Or...? Please advise. |

| Just that one bank refused you does not mean the other one will too. Go to some more and apply. At the same time look for scholarships and bursaries to find help and support for your studies. The other thing I want to say is not to take out a loan if you don't really need to. You will spend a hell of a long time paying it off afterwards. Look at all the options... All the best. |
