I have recently been looking to start with investments. I have accumulated fair amount of assets and I have looking into the most efficient way to invest. I would like to know reasons why do traders have such a low respect for scalpers. Thanks in advance for your help. Any info will do and really mean a lot.

Any investment carries with it a risk in part. That is why you need to make sure everything goes as you plan, and that you make a good plan. When it comes to ensuring the value of your portfolio, you have to be aware what kind of portfolio you want to create. Now, scalping, with its emulating a market making process and flexibility with bid/ask difference, can gain you a certain amount of profit. However, in its most lucrative forms, it is borderline fraudulent, and also means taking shortcuts for profit. This would also be the reason why regular traders are not too fond, and indeed have very low respect for scalpers.
