| Hi everyone. I have bought some furniture through a catalogue a while ago - in fact about a year back now. It was one of those "Buy now, Pay later" offers. Afterwards I forgot about the payment, and in fact I hate to admit that I have already received several threatening letters from them. The last one warns me that if I don't pay up RIGHT NOW, they will send debt collectors round. Would this affect my credit score? |

| Hi. Let me teach you a lesson or two. First of all my mother taught me that if you don't have the money to pay for the thing, don'y buy it. Secondly, if you engage in buying on credit, pay on time or you will get into trouble. Meaning that - YES - if you are late paying your credit score is affected. If it reaches the stage that you are being threatened with debt collectors, no lender will give you credit again. Your credit score is totally destroyed, mate! |
