Hi there everybody. My name is Richard and I would like to ask you for an advice about investments. I am thinking about purchasing some bonds and a friend of mine suggested me to invest in Baby bonds. However, I am not familiar with that term. Can you tell me what Baby bonds are? Would you consider investing in Baby bonds? Thank you.

Hello Richard. As you may know, there are many types of bonds so sometimes it is really hard to make a choice where to invest. Baby bonds are bonds which have initial value less than 1000 dollars. Sometimes companies cannot get access to big capital markets. So, in order to acquire funds, they have to attract small investors in a certain way. By issuing these baby bonds, they want to attract people who cannot afford to purchase other types of bonds with higher initial value. Everything else is basically the same. So, you could consider investing in Baby bonds, just don’t expect some excessive profit. That is all. I wish you all the best. Bye!
