Most of my friends including me are in bankruptcy because of our student loan. Some of them who finished their education are forced to find a job immediately to make their financial situation stable as much as they can. I'm about to finish in one year and I'm hoping that something would change to better. Is there any chance for writing off student loan?

| Many students are in a similar situation. Young people are in search for a job right out from university and they already have bankruptcy in their record. That would affect their credit score in future and unable some financial services for them. Since this became a huge problem in some countries, government has made some benefits for these students. Battles against this unfair situation is forced in different ways. In some of them student loan would automatically be written off if a student finished education in time. In that way government is supporting students to finish and preventing overload of universities. Another way is recorded in Scotland. All student loans were written off to make a fresh start for students who graduated. Some countries are writing off loans of students who were educated in areas that are rare and hard. So, I would say that there is a hope that you should face different circumstances when you graduate. |
