four main purposes or effects of taxation?

| Last month I had serious problems with taxes. I thought that I will not be able to overcome them. Luckily everything turned fine. I really do not understand why we must pay that much for taxes. Can you tell me four main purpose or effects of taxation? I would really like to see where do you stand on this matter. Thank you. |

| I do not like paying taxes as well, but we do not have any other options. We must pay it otherwise our country would not be able to function. The main purpose of taxation is to support the state and to fill up the budget. The money that comes from taxation is being used to build roads, bridges. We are paying for our military as well. |
