Do you remember the theme or title from yesterday's sermon? (Or Saturday's for you 7th Day Adventists)

I only remembered because I was thinking about making a quiz out of it. Normally I can't remember the subject matter by late Sunday evening. Embarassed

I think the last religious discussion around here centered on a $20 bet as to whether Jesus or Moses wandered in the desert for forty years...I won!

why is there so much evil and suffering in our world?

24:15 Now if you are unwilling to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served in the region beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."

and also Ephesians 5:22-33 (the "wives submit to your husbands/husband love and respect your wives" text) that was taught in the context of the time and how the young church was actually breaking old traditions. This verse at first sounds like women are being treated poorly, but our pastor taught us that wives had been treated as posessions. This scripture elevates women to a new status of people deserving respect.

Isaiah 55: 8-9 are actually my cornerstone verses. They are verses that have really helped get me through life.

That was part #1. Part #2 is What color was your pastor's tie? (If you have a female pastor, sub. dress/skirt)

I've never seen my Pastor in a tie. She'd look silly.

as far as what she wore on sunday, I believe it was a blue floral dress.
