Hi everyone. I have done some gambling in the past... Been to Vegas and so on, but I have never had a go at the stock market before. However I am convinced that the odds are a little better on the stock market. Joking. In any case I am hoping there is someone who can advise me on where and how to start. Are you a stock market expert or even someone who knows just a little more than me? Please spill the beans!

First of all you don't really "trade" shares - you simply buy or sell them, according to your view of where the market is heading. Unless you are a real expert who knows what he or she is doing, though, I'd advise you to find a good broker who will tell you what they think. You still make the final decision, but if their advice is adequate and you get a profit, they take a cut.
