Can someone tell me about the travel insurance you get on the Alliance & Leicester current account? I am interested to know how good this is, does it cover my boyfriend too when we are on holiday together, and is this all I need when I go abroad? I mean, it wont be necessary to get any additional travel insurance? And how about when the plane is cancelled, does it cover this kind of thing too?
On your premier current account you get free travel insurance underwritten by Fortis as long as you travel within Europe and are under 65. Your boyfriend is covered only if it is a joint account. If you are going outside of Europe or you have additional needs you can upgrade you travel insurance at a discount cost. I hope this answers your query!
