what is definition of Investment management?

| I would like to know what is the true definition of investment management. I’ve seen people doing that, I’ve heard them talking about investment management, but so far I haven’t managed to realize what seems to be the purpose of that. I guess that there is some usage that I don’t understand… Can you give me some clue on how might the definition of investment management sound? |

| I think that there is only one way that I could define investment management - it is management of some specific assets, real estates or securities, and that sort of stuff… for the purpose of getting benefit. This management is supposed to be professionalized, which means that it is usually performed by some companies or other institutions, rarely those individuals who are actual owners, but that happens from time to time… do you find this answer satisfying? |
